Creating art is both an action and a meditation for me. It’s where my body and mind come together to experiment with paints, colors, shapes and textures. Often an undetermined path, I’m drawn to art’s potential to create infinite possibilities and connections. It may be inspiring, surprising, meditative and sometimes even disappointing, but always encouraging, leading me to discover answers to the question ‘what else is possible?’ I hail from Mumbai, India, where post my undergrad studies in Applied Arts from Sophia Polytechnic, I applied my design skills to an entrepreneurial enterprise called Koko that designed, manufactured and supplied textile-related children’s products as well as women’s fashion to retail shops and exporters. In 1996, I closed the business to move to Dubai with my family. Dubai offered me many opportunities to paint and explore this exciting journey experimenting with different mediums including copper and participating in numerous group exhibitions. Over the years, my portfolio of work includes acrylics, watercolors, sumi-e, oil, silk painting, mosaic and mixed media and unique artworks with copper and acrylic. I continue this journey to see what else is possible’. "An Artwork speaks for itself to whosoever responds to it"
